Matías Sebastián Rosa has made the decision to turn down an offer from Palma Futsal to return to Mallorca. The Argentine pivot from Jaén Paraíso Interior was approached by the Balearic club, which sought to strengthen its squad following Cleber’s move to Al Qadsiah. With part of the €200,000 received for the Brazilian winger, Palma Futsal was ready to pay the buyout clause of the Argentine international. Who ultimately chose to remain with Jaén. This information was first reported by journalist José Luis López from Jaén en Juego.
Earlier in the summer, Rosa had also rejected an attractive offer from Riga, Latvia. After missing out on Vinicius Rocha—who joined L-84 in Italy—Riga attempted to secure the services of the Buenos Aires native. However, Rosa again declined. With Rosa currently in Uzbekistan preparing for the World Cup under Matías Lucuix, Palma Futsal made another attempt to sign him. Despite having spent three seasons in Mallorca earlier in his career and the club’s readiness to pay his clause (€70,000, potentially reduced to €50,000), the deal did not go through.

Rosa, who renewed his contract with Jaén until 2027, expressed his gratitude for the offer from Palma, which exceeded his current salary, but he chose to stay with the yellow team. He feels a sense of loyalty to Jaén, which supported him after an uneven season at ElPozo Murcia. The player previously signed with Barça in 2019 but never played for the team due to serious knee injuries.
Palma Futsal remains active in the transfer market as the window extends until September 13. General Manager Jose Tirado is exploring several international options, with the club focused on signing a versatile player, potentially a full-back or a pivot, to meet coach Antonio Vadillo’s needs.
