Top New Esports Organizations of 2024: Rising Stars in Competitive Gaming

Each year, numerous new esports organizations emerge globally, though only a few achieve significant success. Tracking these organizations can be challenging, as some may dissolve after a poor tournament performance, undergo rebranding, change their names and logos, or merge with other teams. In this article, Esports Charts focuses on the most popular new organizations that amassed the highest viewing hours in 2024.

CARNIVAL GAMING
Carnival Gaming, an Indian esports organization founded in 2024, quickly gained recognition in three shooter games: Battleground Mobile India, Counter-Strike, and Valorant. Their teams participated in events such as the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series, Valorant Challengers 2024 South Asia, Skyesports Showdown, and various Dust2.in Masters tournaments. Although Carnival Gaming has yet to secure major victories, their active presence across multiple games earned them a place among the top new organizations in terms of Hours Watched (HW).

EXCEED
Exceed, a newcomer to the esports scene, made a significant impact in the Fortnite competitive arena in 2024. Players Peter “Peterbot” Kata and Miguel “Pollo” Moreno won championships at FNCS 2024 – Major 2: North America – Grand Finals and FNCS 2024 – Major 3: North America – Grand Finals, before claiming first place at the FNCS 2024 Global Championship, the season’s premier event. Exceed also secured a silver medal at the Esports World Cup 2024. With over 10,000,000 HW accumulated during the year, Exceed established itself as one of the top new esports organizations.

MIRAEN SEJONG & ZEUS ESPORTS
In 2024, South Korea’s Miraen Sejong and Turkey’s ZEUS Esports entered the professional PUBG Mobile scene. Both organizations garnered similar viewing hours and competed together at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024, the season’s most prestigious tournament. While they didn’t achieve remarkable success at the World Championship, they made a notable impact in terms of viewership.

HUA ESPORTS
HUA Esports, a Vietnamese organization formed in mid-2024 by former Team Flash players, quickly rose to prominence in Free Fire. The team first won the Free Fire World Series Vietnam 2024 Fall and qualified for the Free Fire World Series – Southeast Asia 2024 Fall. In the regional tournament, HUA Esports finished in the top ten, securing a spot in the Free Fire World Series – Global Finals 2024. By the end of 2024, HUA Esports had become a serious contender in the Free Fire competitive scene, accumulating over 12,500,000 HW.

O TWO ESPORT
O TWO Esport, a Malaysian organization founded by former Team Secret PUBG Mobile players, initially operated under the name Yoodo O-TWO. However, their partnership with the Yoodo brand ended in August, and the organization reverted to its original name. In 2024, O TWO Esport amassed over 16,300,000 HW, primarily through their participation in PUBG Mobile Super League tournaments.

GIANTX
GIANTX, a European esports organization formed in late 2023 through the merger of UK-based Excel Esports and Spain’s Giants, currently fields two League of Legends teams: the main roster competes in the LEC, Europe’s top franchise league, while the academy team participates in Spain’s LVP SuperLiga. Additionally, GIANTX has a Valorant team competing in VCT 2024: EMEA tournaments. Across all its teams, GIANTX generated approximately 17,100,000 HW in 2024.

Malaysia

TEAM VAMOS
Team Vamos debuted in August 2024 when a group of HomeBois players, led by streamer Faris “Soloz” Zakaria, left the organization to form a new team in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competitive scene. The Team Vamos secured a spot in MPL Malaysia, replacing the now-defunct King Empire. Their debut season was highly successful, with the team finishing second in MPL Malaysia Season 14 and reaching the top 8 at the M6 World Championship. These achievements helped Team Vamos accumulate over 19,500,000 HW in just a few months, making them one of the most-watched new esports organizations.

PEA BERUZ
PEA Beruz, a Malaysian organization, is well-known among PUBG Mobile battle royale enthusiasts. Throughout 2024, the team competed in PUBG Mobile Super League tournaments across Southeast Asia. Although they didn’t achieve top placements, PEA Beruz still managed to gather over 20,000,000 HW, largely due to the viewership of their match broadcasts.

arena of valor

ONE STAR ESPORTS
One Star Esports, a new organization in the Arena of Valor competitive scene, was founded in February 2024 by former players of V Gaming, one of Vietnam’s top clubs. In their debut year, One Star Esports reached the finals of both Arena of Glory Spring 2024 and Arena of Glory Winter 2024, though they were defeated by Saigon Phantom in both tournaments. Despite not winning the titles, One Star Esports generated over 22.6 million HW in their first year, the highest among all new esports organizations worldwide.

As evident, most of the organizations in the rankings hail from Southeast Asia, reinforcing the region’s status as the fastest-growing in the esports industry. Additionally, nearly all these new organizations gained recognition through mobile titles, which is no coincidence. The professional scene for traditional PC games tends to be more complex and exclusive compared to mobile gaming, particularly in battle royales, where more organizations are involved, and breaking into major tournaments is relatively easier.
