The Loudest Voice in the Room Is the One Nobody Questions
There’s a version of Team WE that went home after Group Ascend. Last place, no upsets, nothing to write about. The math had that version at roughly 100%.
Something else happened.
Monki is at the center of it. A jungler who skips his clear to appear somewhere unexpected, who calls plays that might be wrong, who asks four other people to follow him anyway. The interesting thing isn’t the risk. It’s that they go.
Cube said it plainly: I just do whatever he tells me to do.
Five people, same decision, same breath, no hesitation. BLG had the gold. BLG had every number. WE came back from 5,000 gold down because all five of them moved before BLG could react — and none of them stopped to check if it was the right call.

You can chart Monki’s gank timers. Teams will, and some of those plays will stop working. About found his footing late; Cube had a rough first half when the meta asked him to win lane rather than absorb pressure. The cracks are there.
But a squad that’s stopped arguing with itself mid-fight doesn’t dissolve cleanly when you find the gap. The meta helped get them here. The cohesion is something else.
Caedrel called it lightning in a bottle. He’s probably right. Lightning doesn’t choose, though. This team did.
