Thailand’s Garena ROV Pro League 2025 Summer has just wrapped up with some incredible numbers and memorable moments. If you’re a mobile MOBA fan, you’ve got plenty to be excited about!
A Tournament Breaking Records
The summer season concluded on April 27 at Bangkok’s prestigious BITEC arena, cementing itself as one of the most-watched events in the series’ history. The Grand Finals alone pulled in a staggering 242,083 peak viewers as fans tuned in to watch eArena dominate Bacon Time in a decisive 4-0 sweep.
This impressive viewership wasn’t just a one-match wonder. The entire tournament accumulated 12.44 million hours watched across 199 hours of broadcast time, making it one of the most successful splits in ROV Pro League history. Only the recent 2024 Winter season has generated higher watch time, showing how the last two splits have really captured Thai audiences’ attention.
Why Everyone Was Watching
What made this tournament so special? For starters, all the fan favorites made deep runs. The knockout stages featured every former and current champion, including Talon Esports and Buriram United Esports alongside the two finalists.
Bacon Time’s journey was particularly compelling for viewers. Despite being the reigning Arena of Valor International Championship 2024 winners, they’ve struggled in domestic competition, finishing as runners-up in three consecutive splits. Fans were eager to see if they could finally break this curse, but eArena had other plans.
eArena’s Continued Dominance
Speaking of eArena, their back-to-back championship wins have established them as Thailand’s most consistent ROV powerhouse. Their clean sweep against world champions Bacon Time in the finals wasn’t just a win. It was a statement about their dominance in the domestic scene.
The RoV Pro League 2025 Summer became only the second tournament in the series to maintain over 60,000 average viewers throughout its run, joining the 2024 winter split in this exclusive club. This consistent viewership speaks volumes about the growing popularity of the game.
The Global Picture
If you’re not familiar with ROV (Realm of Valor), you might know it by different names depending on where you live:
- Arena of Valor in the West
- Lien Quan in Vietnam
- Penta Storm in South Korea
- Legendary Showdown in Taiwan and Japan
The game has been on an impressive trajectory over the past two years, with livestreaming numbers consistently climbing. This growth has been further boosted by the global expansion of Honor of Kings, its Chinese counterpart.
What’s Next?
The excitement doesn’t end here! The top four teams from this tournament have qualified for the Arena of Valor Premier League 2025. They’ll be joined by the best teams from other regional competitions like Vietnam’s Arena of Glory (AoG) and Taiwan’s Garena Challenger Series (GCS).
With the mid-season major approaching, the mobile MOBA competitive scene is looking more thrilling than ever. Whether you’re a long-time fan or just getting into mobile esports, ROV is definitely a game worth watching in 2025!
