Major CS2 Roster Shake-up: Ropz Reportedly Moving from FaZe to Vitality
A significant change is coming to the professional Counter-Strike 2 scene as Estonian star player Robin ‘Ropz’ Kool prepares to end his successful tenure with FaZe Clan. According to reports from prominent CS2 journalists, Ropz is expected to join Team Vitality for the 2025 season.
The move would mark the end of a remarkable chapter for Ropz at FaZe Clan, where he has been instrumental in the team’s achievements since 2022. His anticipated arrival at Team Vitality would create a formidable lineup alongside notable players including Zywoo, flameZ, apEX, and mezii. This development coincides with Vitality’s decision to move Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi to their bench.
During his time with FaZe, Ropz achieved significant success. Including a victory at PGL Major Antwerp 2022 and helping the team secure the prestigious Intel Grand Slam title and its accompanying $1 million prize. The team also reached the finals in the two most recent Major tournaments, with Ropz consistently delivering MVP-caliber performances.
This transfer appears to be part of a larger reshuffling in the professional CS2 scene. In parallel moves, G2 Esports’ Niko ‘Niko’ Kovac is reportedly joining Team Falcons alongside Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif. While Team Falcons had also shown interest in G2’s young talent Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov, reports indicate he will remain with his current team.
FaZe Clan now faces the challenging task of finding a replacement for Ropz, whose strategic play and consistent performance have been crucial to their success over the past two years.
